brazilian dancin'/fightin' 'round the world

much props to this weeks edition of metro times for cover-shooting the dance-kick ass-hybrid of brazilian capoeira. though my stint with this practice of exercise lasted little more than 3 hours, it remains close to my heart and very honorable to all those who participate. word has it this'll be the newest trend at the orchard mall for those overflow bandwagoneers that can't get into the morning drum yoga class. read about it here .

if anyone checked out lloyd's furious five in the daily today, they were treated to a bevy of pitchfork alternatives. no mom, not other uses of farming tools, try junkmedia for more deliciously elite indie music websites with new insight to the same 7.8 scored albums you're used to seeing from the pitchfork crew.

more tunes from autumnattic's iTunes lists, you ask? since louis xiv got a shout out this week, i figure it's time for another radar-licious band to grace the reader's tasteful pallets. tilly and the wall are a nebraskan quintet off of saddle creek records who craft acoutsi-pop-tamborini-harmoniously lovely tunes. after successful tours with rilo kiley, bright eyes, and overseas with rem, they are ready for oc-background music stardom (but that'd be bad?). either way, the album 'wild like children' rocks and should be in your iTunes rotation, my friend.
