here's a tremendous movie by francois truffaut. the wild child [1970] explores a scientist's determination to cultivate a well behaved, sociable human being out of an uninhibited, ape-like kid found in the forest in 1798. expect trademark truffaut simplicity, lots of temper tantrums and even some kong-like empathy. in fraynch!
i'm also writing a final paper on truffaut's portrayal of children. stop thinking about that terrible tim allen movie 'jungle 2 jungle' and watch this instead.
